Bodmin Road Church is an independent evangelical church with strong links to New Wine. We are a small church on a very large council estate in Hull, and our community ministries bring up to 200 people a week through our doors. Full vision and values can be found on our website.
We are looking for a highly-motivated, spiritually mature and well-organised Christian to bring spiritual leadership and effective management to our social action ministries and staff. The successful candidate must be prepared to make themselves a full part of the church’s life and worship, and will have a heart for church growth. Reporting to the Pastor and Leadership Team, you will oversee the spiritual, financial and administrative aspects of the church’s outreach ministries; including Community Café, Softplay Centre, Carers’ Service, midweek Children’s & Youth work, and recently opened CAP Debt Centre. The opportunity to join the church Leadership Team will be considered after 6 months in post.
Good pastoral skills and effective communication are vital. You will be a strategic thinker, with clear leadership abilities and a passion for ministry among the broken. Experience in the operational aspects of running a charity, bid-writing, fund-raising and budget setting, project and staff management, publicity and IT are also essential.
